Actuator Test Rigs

Over the course of designing and building the OrbitDrive actuators, I have built several fixtures and rigs that helped me perform testing and evaluation on my actuator design.

Load Cell Testing Rig

A test stand that includes mounding backet for the actuator, an ODrive that I bought for performing closed-loop current control (FOC) on my actuator, and Sparkfun load cell sensor to evaluate the maximum torque of my actuator and other related motor characteristics.

Simple Testing Rig

A previous setup I built to test out the actuators. The assembly is clamped down to a work bench, and the arm will be driven into a weight scale.
